Light Heavyweight Division Rankings
April 5, 2011
Phil Davis notched his biggest win over an MMA vet, did that push Lil Nog out of the picture? Jones demolished Shogun, how far down the ladder did that push Rua? How far did Hendo skyrocket after his KO of Feijao? Where does Mousasi rank before his big fight with the Dean of Mean this Saturday? All these questions answered in this weeks edition of our Light Heavyweight rankings!
BUT FIRST
We will address questions, comments, criticism and all types of feedback from our previous weeks rankings this weeks article. Since we are still pretty new and do not have much feedback, we still had a couple of comments to last weeks rankings.
Big Foot top six?
Why not? Fabricio caught Fedor with a submission for the first time in Fedors career, Big Foot totally dominated Fedor. Even if the fight went on there was no way Fedor was going to overcome the size advantage Big Foot had on him. Overeem, Fedor, Mir and Nelson do not deserve to be ahead of him. Overeem, as much as I want to rank him higher I can't due to the lack of competitive opponents he has faced. Fedor, well that is self explanatory. Mir, after getting completely obliterated by Carwin a lackluster performance against Cro Cop does not justify a higher ranking. In regards to Nelson well he still has some competition to face. So yes, Big Foot does deserve that sixth spot and I think he will continue to rise as he seems to have found a groove in using his size advantage.
Hows Big Nog not on this list?
Big Nog has not been in action for over a year. They are probably still trying to find his head on Pluto since Cain blasted him away. All of these fighters that are on the list have been more active than Nogeuira. All of them except Fedor have racked up a win since Noguiera lost. I hope Big Nog will make an appearance soon and maybe he will get into the top 10 with a significant win.
